Data Privacy Policy – Registration for IIMPACT 2019 organized by PIIMA
Pan IIM Alumni, Singapore (“PIIMA”), organizer of IIMPACT 2019 will collect, use and disclose your Personal Data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“Act”). Examples of such Personal Data captured include but are not limited to name, address, institute and batch you graduated from, employer, photograph, telephone or mobile numbers, e-mail address, individual’s image or voice or video captured by our appointed photographers or videographers during events etc.
In order to conduct its operations more smoothly, PIIMA may disclose your Personal Data to its third party service providers, and affiliates. This is because such third parties would be processing your Personal Data on PIIMA’s behalf for the purposes mentioned above. PIIMA would get appropriate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) signed by persons in possession of such Personal Data. Being an alumni organization, PIIMA is dependent upon sponsorships from third party organizations for enabling its activities including this event you are registering for. As a related agreement, PIIMA might agree with one or few sponsors that they may be allowed to send you some communications related to their products or services. The PIIMA organizing committee would be very restrictive in the use of this provision and agree to do so in very limited cases, only after due deliberation.
PIIMA will not disclose your Personal Data to any other third parties without first obtaining your consent permitting PIIMA to do so or unless any such disclosure is permitted under any of the statutory exemptions under the Act, e.g.
The disclosure is required by law; or is necessary for any investigation or proceedings.
The purpose of such disclosure is clearly in your interests and consent cannot be obtained in a timely way.
The disclosure is necessary to respond to an emergency that threatens the life, health or safety of yourself or another individual.
Please note that there will be still and video photography at the event and you may be in some or many of the images or video clips. By registering for the event, you are giving your consent for your images or clips - whether still or video, to be used in promotional material of PIIMA or on PIIMA’s website or PIIMA’s social media account pages (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
By participating in this event, you agree that information (including any personal data) you have provided or will provide to PIIMA in connection with this event may be collected and used in connection with the planning and organization of the event and other related purposes. PIIMA may disclose such information to its affiliates, partners, co-sponsors, service providers and exhibitors, located inside and outside your home jurisdiction, for such purposes. Photographs, videos and other recordings of you may be captured during the event, or in activities related to the event, and may be used for PIIMA’s internal and external communications, marketing materials and other related purposes. If you do not agree, you will not be able to attend the event.
